Robert played his first professional gig for his eighth grade graduation party, and hasn’t stopped
playing since. Predominately an acoustic solo performer, “Ernie” has been in countless duos, trios and bands throughout
his twenty-five plus years as a working musician. A part time elementary music school teacher (in thirteen
different parochial schools) for eighteen years began to get old, so “Ernie” chucked it all and began performing
in retirement homes, singing and playing music from the 1920’s to the 1950’s, a facet of his musical career which
continues today. For the past thirteen years, during the Christmas season, Robert has sung with his acapella quartet known
as “The Dickens Carolers”.
